With the excellent electrical properties that performs consistently even on a wide range of frequencies, temperature, and humidity, PTFE or PolyTetraFluoroEthylene Insulated sleevings are designed intentionally for applications including those with high frequencies, high temperature, or both. With the use of Tape Wrapping Sintering or TWS during manufacture process, these PTFE sleevings have flexibility and excellent mechanical stability.
In addition, these sleevings also offer various advantages like its being stable at extreme high temperatures and will work continuously at temperatures from -65 degrees Celsius to +250 degrees Celsius. These sleevings are also non-flammable, making it safe, has high dielectric strength, is vistually inert to almost known chemicals, UV radiation, oils, solvents, and fluxes. Sleevings als have excellent anti-stick properties that prevent sediments and fungus from building up. PTFE sleevings are dramatically hydrophobic and do shed water almost totally and are biocompatible.
If you choose to use PTFE sleevings, these can be a perfect tool for radars, satellites, and any other defense electronic equipments. Sleeving can also be useful for heater interconnections because of its high temperature proximity.
Other great uses of sleevings are as an insulating cover for electrical leads for your air-conditioning sealed units, RF signal transmission, antennas, for branching leads in harness or cable assembly, and more.
Sleevings also work perfectly as carriers for corrosive, high viscosity chemicals or fluids or under high pressure and temperature, as protective cover over hoses for injection molding machines, capillaries for medical application, and temperature sensors for automobiles and more.
